Mrs. Nora Clark Died Tuesday at Home of Sister

Mrs. Nora H. Stookey Clark of Cedar Rapids died suddenly Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ida S. Stookey, Marion, with whom she had been visiting the last month. She was born June 9, 1870 on a farm west of Marion and attended Manchester high school and Coe college, where she majored in music. She was a graduate of the Illinois Training School for Nurses in Chicago. She married William H. Clark, who died in 1921, June 11, 1902 [sic]. Four children were born to them. Mrs. Clark has made her home in Cedar Rapids for ten years but has lived in Lisbon, Clarion, Mt. Vernon, and Iowa City during her life. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Parker Randall, Mrs. Geo. Miller of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Hamilton Clark, who is attending Iowa State college, and Charles J. Clark, who is with the United States navy in China; one sister, Mrs. Ida Stookey, Marion; three brothers, Millard Stookey, Leon; Dr. S.W. Stookey, Mechanicsville. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the family home in Cedar Rapids, the Rev. William M. Evans officiating. Interment was in the Oak Shade cemetery.
