Katinka "Kitty" (Larson) Fevold, the daughter of Torvald and Clara (Olson) Larson, was born on April 6, 1920, on the family farm outside of Thor, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from Thor High School in 1937. On February 12, 1938, Kitty was united in marriage with Leo G. Fevold, at the Lutheran Church parsonage in Badger. The couple lived and farmed in the Badger, Thor and Duncombe area for several years and moved to Goldfield in 1959. Kitty was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove and ELCW. She enjoyed stamp collecting, sewing, crocheting and her version of "scrap booking".

Kitty passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion, at the age of 96 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; children: Sandra Hill, Karen Lerdal and her husband, Orin and Clint Hill and granddaughter, Kristine Hill. Survivors include her children: Leonard Fevold and wife Lori of Oxford, Thomas Fevold and wife Lynn of Goldfield, Julie Kludt and husband Mark of Pierre, SD and Joyce Hill of Eagle Grove; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Julia Larson of Eagle Grove and sisters-in-law, Martha Larson and Larraine Kinseth.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper, officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Dodge. Memorials will be left to the discretion of the family.
