Cora Mildred Anfinson Egemo was born in Lake Township, Wright County, Iowa, April 10, 1906 to Charley and Martha Olson Anfinson. She was baptized in the Holmes Congregation July 9, 1906. She was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Kanawha, the 23rd of November, 1919, Wright County, Iowa by Rev. P.B. Trelstad. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1924 and taught in Wright County schools until she was united in marriage to William Egemo on June 25, 1944 at Belmond. During her time spent in teaching she was active in Sunday School work and in Luther League. She also participated in many community activities. She was a member of St John's Church, near Kanawha until her marriage, at which time she transferred her church membership to Elim Lutheran Churah at Randall, Iowa in 1944. Here she enjoyed and shared in the work and fellowship of the Circle and Lutheran Church Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband William who passed away September 24, 1963, and by her parents and two sisters, Mrs. Oscar (Ellen) Egemo and Mrs. Raymond (Beulah) Mathre. Having no children of their own she and her husband have been instrumental in helping many in need both young and old. Services were held July 12 at Elim Church in Randall with Rev. Larry Tontow officiating. Burial was in Mount Olive Cemetery, Randall.
