Services for Evedna Pedersen, 73, were held Saturday at the First Lutheran Church in Northwood, with burial in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery at Coulter. Mrs. Pedersen died Wednesday.

Born April 13, 1905 in Dows, she was the daughter of Andrew and August Olson. She attended the Dows Public Schools and Ellsworth College, then taught for seven years in the Dows country school. She and her husband, Leroy Pedersen, moved to Northwood in 1953?, and lived an a farm near there until 1953, when her husband died. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Northwood.

Survivors include one son, Earl; two daughters, Carol Patterson of Northwood and Sharon Groff of Iowa Falls; one sister, Violet Pedersen of Coulter; two brothers, Agnew Olson of Watertown, S.D. and Russell Olson of Dows; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one sister in infancy.
