Dwayne “Bo” D. Miller, age 70 of rural Britt, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his home. Visitation for Dwayne “Bo” D. Miller will be 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South, in Belmond (formerly Dugger Funeral Home). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Dwayne “Bo” Douglas, son of Ernest and Vernice (Cummins) Miller, was born September 28, 1946 in Fletcher, Oklahoma. He graduated from Belmond High School in 1966. After graduating high school, Bo joined the United States Navy. He served in the Vietnam War. Bo was united in marriage to Marsha Whipple. To this union, his two daughters, Tina and Angi, were born.

Bo retired from Winnebago after 29 years. Bo enjoyed traveling the back roads on his motorcycle. He loved to camp, fish, travel, and sit in front of his woodstove. Family was Bo’s greatest accomplishment and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Life with Bo was an adventure and he will be missed.

Bo is survived by his two daughters Tina Miller (Chris Peters), Angi Miller; son Ronald (Somchai) Rice; five grandchildren Anthony Miller (Katelyn Smith), Kristin Miller, Ryan Nieman (Krystal Getchel), Gavin Rice, and Simon Rice; two great-grandchildren Kellen Miller and Morgan Nieman; two sisters Byrul Moore (Curt) and Renee Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Vernice Miller; five brothers Frank Miller, Dwight (Ole) Miller, Ernest (Ernie) Miller, Virgil Miller, and Michael (Mikey) Miller; one sister Betty Jones and husband Dale Jones; one nephew Jason Moore; and numerous aunts and uncles.
