Jolene R. Prelip, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at home on September 19, 2015. Born August 28, 1944, Clarion, Iowa to Sidney Harris and Frieda Steinwandt. Married Richard Prelip on March 1, 1946, Belmond, Iowa. For over 50 years she greeted her husband with three kisses every day. Jolene made a trip to Iowa every year to work on genealogy and enjoyed sharing the stories of her ancestors. She was talented in craft making and spent thousands of hours making quilts and blankets for the Native American Elders. She adored her grandchildren and spent hours reading to them. Jolene was a good cook and made friends welcome in their home. Survived by her husband, Richard; children, Jeffrey (Annika) Prelip, Kristine Prelip; Harley, Reagan, Orion, Foyler; brothers, Dale Harris, Glenn Harris and Terry.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 South, Salt Lake City, UT with a visitation and hour prior to service. Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates.
