Phyllis Margrete Silver passed away August 31, 2016, and Donald Erwin Silver passed away September 27, 2016 at their home in Georgia. Phyllis was born in Goldfield, IA on November 18, 1923 to June and Bert Siemens. Don was born in Altoona, IA on February 13, 1922 to Roy and Winnie Silver. They were married on March 22, 1947 at The Little Brown Church in the Vale.

Their bond of love was so strong that when Phyllis’ soul departed, Don’s followed shortly thereafter. All of their loved ones are grieved by their deaths, but no one would have wanted them to be apart from each other in this life or the next.

Don and Phyllis were preceded in death by their loving son, Russ Silver. They are survived by their children Carol Fellers and Sherry Wrublesky, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, their wonderful Caregivers, and a host of longtime friends.

Services will be held at Park Church of Christ, 422 N. Washington, Goldfield, IA 50542 on Saturday, November 12, at 10:00 AM. After the memorial service, their cremains will be interred at Goldfield Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the church. Memorials may be sent in their honor to the Tapestry Hospice, 1091 Red Bud NE, Calhoun, GA 30701.

Phyllis Margrete Siemens Silver met her Lord and Savior on August 31, 2016 at their home in Georgia. Phyllis was born in Goldfield, Iowa on November 18, 1923 to Albert J. (Bert) Siemens and Jeannette (June) McCarty and one of 7 children. Phyllis married Donald Ervin Silver at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, Iowa on March 22, 1947. Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving son, Russell (Russ) Silver and her parents, and one sister and three brothers, and numerous in-laws. Phyllis was cremated and services were held at Park Church of Christ, 422 N. Washington, Goldfield, Iowa 50542 on Saturday, November 12, at 10:00 AM, after her remains will be interred at Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, Iowa, followed by a luncheon at the Church. Memorials may be sent in her honor to the Tapestry Hospice, 1091 Red Bud NE, Calhoun, GA 30701
