Mrs. Peterson, Goodell, Dies of Heart Attack

Funeral Services for Mrs. L. P. Peterson, 66, who died Thursday of a heart attack, will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at home and at 2 p.m. at the Goodell U.E.B. Church. The local pastor, Donald Varce, Britt, will officiate. Burial will be in the Amsterdam Cemetery with the Osman Funeral Home, Klemme, in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Peterson was born Laura Christie, June 3, 1891. She was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Christie who lived on a farm 1 1/2 miles north of Goodell. She was educated in the local schools and taught in rural schools until her marriage June 30, 1912. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson were married by the late Rev. G. H. Varce, father of the present pastor. They farmed in this vicinity until they moved into Goodell after retiring.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Peterson is survived by five daughters, Barbara, Goodell; Mrs. Rolland (Clara) Peterson, Hanlontown; Mrs. Leslie (Evelyn) Meres, Austin, Minn.; Mrs. Ernie (Elaine) Woiwood, Garner; Mrs. Fred (Lula) Bell, Klemme; four sons, Lauretz, Belmond; John, Goodell; Christie, Goodell; Norman, Corwith; 29 grandchildren and six sisters. She was preceded in death by two daughters, two sisters and one brother.
