February 4, 1869 ---- February 1, 1943

Taber Corey Imus, son of Charles and Mary Imus, was born at Ripon, Wis., Feb. 4, 1869. In early childhood he moved with his parents to Minnesota where he grew to manhood. He later lived in several states, but most of his life was spent in Iowa.

In 1912 he was married to Clara Debban Lee at Charles City, Iowa. To this union four sons were born: Ralph, who died in 1918; Harry A., now in the United States Naval Reserve at Great Lakes, Ill., and Chas., and Harold of Charles City, Iowa.

His wife, Clara, died in 1926. Mr. Imus moved with his son, Harry, to Dakota City in 1930, where he resided until last March. Because of failing health, he then came to Eagle Grove, to live with his brother and sister, Frank and Florence Imus. During the last four months he has been tenderly cared for at the John Creek nursing home, where he passed away on Feb. 1, 1943, at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 27 days. Besides his sons, he leaves two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. J. M. Lovrien and Florence Imus of Eagle Grove, Frank, of Eagle Grove, and J. E. Imus of Charles City. Funeral services were held at Wilson's Chapel by Rev. J. R. Tumbleson and interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
