Melissa Rottinghaus, 47, Nora Springs, a former Belmond resident, died October 17, 2016 at Muse Norris Hospice in Mason City. Funeral arrangements are pending at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Chapel in Mason City.

Melissa (James) Rottinghaus, 47, of Nora Springs, Iowa, passed away on October 17, after an illness. Melissa was a 1987 graduate of Toulon High School. She is the daughter of the late Steve James and Lois James of Kewanee Illinois. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Jim; daughter Skye; son Nick Colvin; mother Lois James; sister Michelle (Kurt) Mitthun; brothers Michael and Mark James; grandmother Evelyn Bauer; nephew Jordan Hansen; nieces Cassie Hansen and Lexie Hartmann; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Steve; grandparents, Theodore Mathiesen, Floyd and Ann Byrd; and nephew Jeff Dahle.
