ALEXANDER, IA — Wm. Harry Hill, age 86, of Alexander, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at his home. Funeral service for Wm. Harry Hill will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at the Alexander United Methodist Church in Alexander. Pastor Shawn Hill will officiate. Burial will take place in the Alexander Cemetery. Visitation for Wm. Harry Hill will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond.

Harry was born May 31, 1930, to John and Alta (Yaw) Hill. He graduated from Alexander High School. He was united in marriage to Doris Mourlam on June 24, 1951. Following military service, the couple returned to Alexander area and farmed until his retirement in 1995. Harry enjoyed woodworking, his family, especially on their annual fishing trip. He was active in the community and church until his health declined.

Harry is survived by his children Debra (Duane) Perry of Belmond, Craig (Deb) Hill of Alexander, Carla Roberts of Garner, son-in-law John Messick of Ardmore, OK; grandchildren Shawn (Michelle) Hill of Alexander, Amanda (Dan) Teske of Iowa Falls, Emily (Rob) Lamfers-Hill of Belmond, Hannah O'Steen of Ardmore, OK, Nicholas Roberts of Mason City, Harrison Roberts of Garner; great-grandchildren Shayla, James, and Caleb Teske, Colin and Lauren Hill, Andrew, Avery, and Alec Lamfers-Hill, Charslee and Bearett O'Steen; and his two cats Spike and Homa. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Alta; wife Doris; daughter Suzanne; grandson Benjamin; and brother John. Dugger Funeral Home, Belmond, Iowa.
