MILDRED ELAINE VILMAIN
Mildred Elaine Clue was born October 31, 1921, the daughter of Nels and Susan Jensen at Goldfield. She was later adopted by Edward and Hazel Clue. She received her education in the Goldfield school system, and graduated from Goldfield High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to George T. Vilmain, Eagle Grove, on November 11, 1939, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove. She enlisted in the United States Coast Guard on November 9, 1944, at Portland, Ore. She received an honorable discharge on December 22, 1945. Upon returning to Eagle Grove, she was first employed by Doctors Smith and Hogenson as a receptionist. She then joined with her husband in the family grocery business in Eagle Grove. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove. She entered the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove, December 16, 1987. She died there September 26, 1991, at the age of 70 years, 10 months, and 26 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; adoptive parents; her husband; a brother, Donald Jensen Durant; and a sister, Evelyn Jensen Vogel. She is survived by a son, John, and his wife, Linda, of Boone; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Georgine) Wessell, Moorhead; a brother, Duane Jensen Durant, Dallas, Texas; and a grandson, Nicholas Vilmain.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 30, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating at the 10:30 a.m. services. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove, were in charge of arrangements.
