Jennie Sarah Olson was born April 11, 1885 in Morris, Grundy County, Ill. to Jacob and Sarah Tasdall [Tesdall]. She was baptized into the triune faith shortly after birth in the East Prairie Church. She renewed her baptismal covenant through the rite of confirmation on November 18, 1900 in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Morris, Ill. She died October 12, 1970 at her apartment in the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove after reaching the age of 85 years, 6 months, and 1 day. Jennie attended school in Morris, Ill. She married Martin Johan Olson on February 19, 1916 at Morris, Illinois after which they moved to a farm near Hardy. In 1954, they moved to Eagle Grove. Preceding her in death were her parents; one infant brother; and her husband Martin. Those who mourn her departure are her three children: Loren of Des Moines; Elouise, Mrs. Eugene Klaessey of Chetek, Wisc.; Jay of Hardy; five grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister, Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Morris, Ill. Funeral services were held October 16 at 2:00 p.m. in the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church; Rev. H. W. Schiller. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Hardy.
