H. Emron Myers, 72, passed away suddenly at his home Sunday, March, 12, 1972. Emron was born in Ida Grove, Iowa on January 10, 1900, the son of Hugh and Amelia Myers. At the age of 3 year his family move to Leal, North Dakota and he lived there until 1930. He then moved to Odin, Minnesota and lived there for 10 years. On September 3, 1939, Emron married Ida Lorine Hillesland in Thor, Iowa. After their marriage they lived in North Dakota for 18 months and then in April of 1941 they moved to Alexandria area where they have been living up to the time of his death. Enron has been employed for over 25 years at American Laundry.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Lorine, one daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Oare (Ardelle Louise Myers), Pine City, Minnesota, one sister, Mrs. Irvin (Phyllis) Christensen, Centuria, Wisconsin, three brothers, Lyle Myers, Sr., Creede, Colorado, Glenn Myers, Leal, North Dakota and Gordon Myers, Cottage Grove, Minnesota, and many nieces and nephews. Emron was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 15, 1972, 11:00 am at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Nelson, Minnesota with the Rev. Paul Ranum officiating. The soloist was Rev. C. David Helgen, accompanied by Mrs. Gerald Sather. Musical selections chosen were "The Lord's Prayer" and "God Gives his People Strength".
Pallbearers were Carroll Hillesland, Gerald Mason, Paul Feigum, Curtis Myers, Marvin Cook and Ralph Marquette. Interment was at Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Minnesota. Services were directed by the Alexandria Funeral Home.Lake Region Press -- Alexandria, Minnesota
