Arden Evans Service Set for Saturday

Arden Evans, 45, 219 Louisiana S. E., died Thursday afternoon at a Mason City hospital. He had lived in the community 21 years and was a carpenter by trade. Mr. Evans was born March 1, 1911, in the St. Olaf community at Belmond, son of Severt and Atlanta (Mickelson) Evans. He was married to Lucille Finnegan Aug. 10, 1940, in Mason City. He was a member of Clausen-Worden Post 101 of the American Legion and served in World War II.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Robert and William, and a daughter, Kaye, all at home; father Severt Evans, Rockwell; three brothers, Melvin, Mason City; Lester, Rockwell; and Russell, Minneapolis, and three sisters, Mrs. Herman (Mabel) Heginger, Goodell; Mrs. Iver (Sadie) Toft, Clear Lake; and Mrs. John (Gladys) Osnes, Clear Lake. He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Harry, and sister, Lila.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. L. E. Holst, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery. Friends may call at the Patterson-James Chapel until 1 p.m. Saturday.
