Thomas Gene Christopher, the son of Russell G. and Delores M. (Egesdahl) Christopher, was born May 11, 1947, in Clarion, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1966 and then received his Associates Degree from Iowa Central Community College. On October 2, 1976, Tom was united in marriage to Marla Roberts in Humboldt. They made their home and raised three sons in Eagle Grove. Tom was an Iowa Hawkeye Fan, he enjoyed golf, cribbage, horseshoes and good times at Clear Lake!

Tom passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City, at the age of 69 years. Tom is survived by his wife, Marla Christopher of Clear Lake; three sons: Scott Christopher of West Des Moines, Steve Christopher and wife Carrie of Eagle Grove and Mark Christopher and wife Mandi of Clear Lake; three grandchildren: Connor, Caitlin and Makaylee and three sisters: Peg Hammes and husband Michael of the Quad Cities, Sally Brauman and husband Roger of Lake of the Ozarks and Deb Wilcox of Jacksonville, FL.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2016, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
