Gladys Golda Thorn, 87, of Eagle Grove, died Saturday, June 25, 2005, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Stone officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Gladys Golda Thorn was born December 14, 1917, in Clarion, Iowa, the daughter of John and Maude (Pults) Reeder. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth. Gladys married John B. Thorn at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. They made their home in Eagle Grove. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1964. She worked for many, many years as an Avon Representative. She also worked as a hostess at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home. She was a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is survived by three nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers. The Foust Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
