Eugene Floyd Larson was born October 17, 1949 in Fort Dodge, the son of Lawrence and Bernice Russell Larson. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School with the class of 1968. He was united in marriage to Kathy Gronwall of Eagle Grove in the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove, August 9, 1969. He served with the Naval Air Forces for four years.

Eugene was employed by Heritage Cablevision for 13 years. He moved to Colorado in 1980. He was president and general manager for the Heritage System for the state of Colorado. Eugene Larson died of an apparent heart attack, January 11, 1987, at the age of 38 years, two months, and 24 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by Kathy, son, Christopher, and daughter, Raquel, all of Des Moines; two brothers, Larry, Webster City; Ray, Nevada; and a sister, Carmen McKinney, Orlando, Fla.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 15 at 2 p.m. at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. The Rev. Scott C. Hall, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove, officiated. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.

EUGENE F. LARSON Special Dispatch to The Register DILLON, COLO. - Services for Eugene F. Larson, 38, of Dillon, formerly of Des Moines, who died of a heart attack here Monday, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery there. A memorial service was held Wednesday in Dillon.

Mr. Larson was born in Eagle Grove and lived in Des Moines most of his life before moving to Colorado in 1981. He was employed with Heritage Cablevision Inc. for 13 years and was a Colorado district manager. He was a board member of the Colorado Cable Association and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors include a son, Christopher, and a daughter, Raquel, both of Des Moines; two brothers, Larry of Webster City and Ray of Nevada; and a sister, Carmen McKinney of Orlando, Fla. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
