Lorene Riles, 92, of Lebanon, [Missouri] died Thursday, July 28, 2016, in Lebanon South Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon. She was born March 7, 1924, in Centralia, Ill. to Findley and Velma Edwards Huggins. On March 7, 1940, she married Noal Arvil Riles. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Noal, on Aug. 27, 2008; a brother, William "Bill" Huggins, and three sisters, Jackie Milkelson [Mickelson], Dorothy Smith, and an infant, Betty Huggins.

She was born and raised in Centralia, Ill. After she and Noal were married, they lived in Wright County, Iowa for many years. Lorene was always a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Later, she and Noal moved to Lebanon and made their retirement home. Lorene made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of a Baptist church for many years. She was active in all phases of church work including being a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Christeson and her husband, Lynn, of Webster City, Iowa; Saundra Titus and her husband, Wyn, of Lebanon; Judy Halvorsen and her husband, Jim, of Truckee, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Gordon Huggins and Earnest Huggins, both of West Plains; Kenneth Huggins, of Raymore, Mo.; five sisters, Ruby Sargeant, of Folsom, Calif.; Barbara Gingles and Dixie Combs, both of West Plains; Bobbie Lowe and Beverly Burton, both of Springfield, also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Lorene Riles were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home with Jim Halvoresn officiating. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Memorial donations to Gideon Bible Ministry may be made through the funeral home.
