Anna Olsen, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21st, at the age of 93. She was surrounded by family and lots of love. Anna was born in Kanawha, IA to Soren and Jensine Christensen on October 11, 1922. Anna grew up in Askov, MN. She was married to Lyle Olsen on November 7, 1943 and they moved to Arizona in 1945. Anna leaves behind 3 children: Arnold, Floyd (Barbie), Margaret (Arnoldo), 8 grandchildren: Amy, Stacey, Jennifer, Andrea, Christine, Arnold, Melissa, and Christian, as well as 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Anna was greeted in heaven by her husband Lyle and son Sylvan. Anna had a HUGE heart, she loved children and if she could she would have helped anyone in need. Anna dedicated much of her time to teaching HIS word as a bible school teacher and she enjoyed every minute of it. She often reminisced on those memories and talked of how much she missed teaching and even more "All of Her Kids". In her words, "There is no such thing as a bad kid". Grandma, you were a BEAUTIFUL light that shined bright for so many. You loved BIG and unconditionally, you warmed our hearts, and we were all truly blessed to have had the opportunity to have shared in so many precious moments with you. Moments that will always be treasured. Our hearts broke when you left us, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure!

Help us Celebrate Anna's life! A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Apostle's Lutheran Church, 7020 W Cactus Rd, Peoria AZ 85381. A luncheon will follow. "Now we lay you down to sleep, we pray the Lord, your soul to keep. Within HIS arms he'll hold you tight, Our Heavenly Angel, Our guiding light."
