Gary Alan Lalor, the son of Harry "Archie" and Dorothy E. (Dibble) Lalor, was born October 23, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1971. Gary joined the Eagle Grove Fire Department in 1969 and has served as Chief since 1993. On January 10, 1975, Gary was united in marriage with Janice Hanus in Eagle Grove. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove where Gary was the 3rd generation to own and operate Lalor Construction. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, racing stock cars, farming, gambling and buffets!!!

Gary passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, at the age of 63 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughters, Amanda Jo and Adaya Jean Lalor and sister, Linda Benedict. Survivors include his wife, Janice Lalor of Eagle Grove; sons, Donavon Lalor and wife Mallory of Eagle Grove and Gary Lalor and wife Sally of Eagle Grove; daughter Ashley Lalor and fiancé Adam Lewis of Goldfield; 13 grandchildren: Kayla, Nathan, Dawson, Emma, Piper, Shelby, Carson, Reed, Macie, Alexis, Aleshia, Alaura, and Ava; brother, Jim Lalor and wife Laura of Mason City and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
