SHEFFIELD — Delores Ann Evans Birdsall was born on Aug. 3, 1941, to Edith and Millard Evans in Kanawha, Iowa. Dee passed away in her home in Sheffield on Sunday, July 17, 2016. Dee was married to Roger Birdsall on Dec. 22, 1974. Together they enjoyed much of their married life in Sheffield. Dee spent many hours crafting, rubber stamping, flower gardening, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved giving the neighbor dog Buddy a bone.

Dee is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger and her sister Sharon. She is survived by four children, Chuck (Julie) Wiemann of Des Moines, Terry of Baltimore, MD, Lesley of Bardolph, IL, Kelly of Monmouth, IL; 5 stepchildren, Steve (Tammy) of Denver, CO, Lori (Kim) of Marshalltown, Tim (Joni) of Corning, Neil of Phoenix, AZ, and Nick (Krisha) of Flower Mound, TX. She was also survived by three siblings: Jim Evans, Donna Legg, and Deanna Robbins; as well many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at Prairie Ridge Church, 825 NW 36th St., Ankeny, IA, on Thursday, July 28, at 3:30 p.m. with visitation following. A reception will be held Sunday, Aug. 14, from 2-5 p.m. at the Sheffield Golf Course.
