June Darlene Hanus Mason was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She worked as a store clerk for Sears in Des Moines. She has lived in Des Moines since 1985 and lived in Mason City for 7 years prior to moving to Des Moines. June Darlene Hanus Mason died Monday, July 20, 1998 at Des Moines General Hospital at the age of 43. Survivors include one daughter, April Schumacher, Des Moines; one grandchild; her mother, Phyllis Mcintosh, Des Moines; three brothers, Jim Johnson, Pocahontas, Jeff Johnson, Fort Dodge, and Jerry Johnson, Webster City; and one sister, Joleen Stephenson, Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday (today), July 22, 1998, at Brooks Funeral Care, Des Moines. The body will be cremated and there will be no burial. Brooks Funeral Care in Des Moines is in charge of the arrangements.
