Agnes (Lindaas) Pressler, the daughter of Alfred and Nellie (Weltha)) Lindaas, was born August 4, 1923, in Thompson, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from Eagle Grove High School. On November 15, 1941, Agnes was united in marriage with George W. Pressler, in Unionville, MO. The couple made their home on a farm near Woolstock until George joined the military in 1942 and they lived in Fort Dodge; Heidelberg, Germany, Las Vegas, NV and returned to Eagle Grove.

Agnes was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked as a clerk at Schaeffer Grocery in Eagle Grove and also as a secretary at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge.

Agnes passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016, at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond, at the age of 92 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; infant daughter, Sharon; daughter-in-law, Linda (Christensen); brother, Milford and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. Survivors include her children: Raymond Pressler of Eagle Grove, Kenneth Pressler and wife Marilyn of St. Louis, MO, Bruce Pressler and wife Marsha of Eagle Grove, Rodney Pressler of Eagle Grove and Sheryl Pressler of Urbandale; seven grandchildren: Brian, Jason, Jacob, Alyssa and Jordan Pressler, Sheri Hofhuis and Kimberly Bihr and husband Jonathon; great grandson Nolan Bihr and four sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Presler) Mimbach, Clarene (Presler) Carlisle, Anna Presler and Phyllis Presler.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 25, 2016, 10:30 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
