Mrs. James Feeley Dies March 30th
Mrs. J. F. Feeley, 76, died early Thursday morning at her home on So. Commercial Ave. after a long illness. Mrs. Feeley is survived by two grandchildren, Miss Marjorie Rompf of Des Moines and Wilmer Rompf in the USNR who is at present in training at Columbia University. NY. He will receive his commission as Ensign in the U. S. Navy in two weeks. Both grandchildren were here for their grandmother's funeral. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at Wilson's Funeral Chapel in charge of Rev. Clarence W. Tompkins of the Methodist Church. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Feeley's maiden name was Nanny Letitis Horton, and she was born on the 8th of November, 1867 in Elliott County, Kentucky. She was married to James Feeley at Neosho, Newton County, Mo. Two children were born to this union, one son and one daughter, Cecil and Bessie Alice (Mrs. Will Rompf) both of whom preceded her in death. Mr. and Mrs. Feeley moved to Eagle Grove in 1900 and she joined the Methodist church in 1905. Mrs. Feeley is also survived by two sisters and two brothers who reside in South Dakota.
