July 13, 1876 --- March 5, 1940

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Brennan Donahue were held at the Wilson Chapel in Eagle Grove on Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 p. m., with Rev. A. S. Kilbourn officiating. Appropriate solos were sung by Mrs. Guy W Morse, with Mr. Morse as accompanist. Burial was at Calvary cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Donahue, daughter of Patrick and Bridget Brennan, passed away at Iowa City University hospital on March 5, 1940. She was born on July 13, 1876 in Pennsylvania. She was educated in the public schools of Eagle Grove. On March 17, 1897 she was married to T. J. Donahue of Eagle Grove, who was an engineer on the C. and N. W. Railroad. To this union one son, Thomas, was born. He passed away in October, 1918 during a siege of the flu. One sister, Mrs. E. P. Riley, preceded her in death in December. Surviving her are her brother, John of Eagle Grove, three nieces, Mrs. Bert Magill of Webster City, Mrs. Charles Reeder of Clarion, Mrs. Nellie Laws of Chicago; also a nephew, Ed Riley of Lincoln, Neb. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge at Bradgate.
