Larry K. Daniels, 68, Dike, died at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo on Monday, June 27, 2016 of an aneurysm. Services were held July 1 at Orchard Hill Church in Cedar Falls. Burial with military honors was in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Waterloo. A memorial fund will be established.

Larry Keith was born May 10, 1948 in San Bernadino, CA, the son of Robert and Millie Skaim Daniels. He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1966, earned a bachelors from UNI in 1970, did graduate work at Iowa State University, and received his masters from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War.

He married Linda Krizek on February 15, 2003 in Las Vegas. Larry taught in high schools, including Belmond, Waterloo Columbus, Sac City and Waterloo Expo. He coached track and field at Columbus, Belmond, Sac City and Iowa State; volleyball at Waterloo East; and golf at Waterloo West.

He was preceded in death by his mother Millie. Survivors include his wife Linda of Dike; daughter Jennifer Davis of LaPorte City; sons Josh (Lauren) Daniels of Ankeny and Jordan (Danielle) Daniels of Belmond; stepsons Jason (Katie) Krizek of Cedar Falls and Kevin (Angi) Krizek of Overland Park, KS; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; his father Robert Daniels of Waterloo; and brothers Dennis (Barb) Daniels and Tom (Mary) Daniels, all of Waterloo.
