Funeral services for Mrs. Willis (Dorothy) Skiye, 69, Eagle Grove, were held on Thursday May 23,1985 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral home. Rev. Paul Schaedig, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Dorothy Elaine Skiye, the daughter of Felix and Anna Shurson Allie, was born at Jewell, Iowa, on Dec. 13, 1915. She lived with her parents at Jewell, Randall, and then Eagle Grove, where she received her education. On Feb. 19, 1935, she was united in marriage with Willis Skiye of Goldfield at Fort Dodge. After their marriage, they lived on a farm in Wright County and have lived in Eagle Grove for the past 20 years. She did private nursing work for several years.

She died at home on North Iowa in Eagle Grove early Monday morning, May 20, 1985 at the age of 69 years, five months and seven days.

She is survived by her husband, Willis Skiye of Eagle Grove; two daughters, Marlene, Mrs. Dean Harty of Clarion; and Sandy, Mrs. Richard Stokke of Eagle Grove; two sons, Duane W. Skiye of Sandwich, Ill., and Gary Skiye of Belmond, 16 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a sister, Frances, Mrs. John Kolacinski of Middlothian, Ill. and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Deloris Ann; four sisters, Alice, Darlene, Marjorie and Anna Mae, and four brothers, Donald, Jerome, Peyton and Felix, Jr.
