Wade Mathew Jones, the son of Gerald and Mary Jo (Campbell) Jones, was born July 24, 1980, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Clarion-Goldfield High School "Class of 1999". Wade worked for Jet Co in Humboldt, Hagie Manufacturing in Clarion and Mertz Engineering in Webster City.

Wade is survived by his parents, Jerry and Mary Jo Jones of Goldfield; sister, Staci Schnittjer and husband Duane of Clarion; nephews, Cole and Jake Schnittjer and his dog, Captain.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30th, 2016, at the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield with Pastor Sara Sutter officiating. Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

The Iowa State Patrol investigated a one vehicle accident Saturday night on Humboldt County Road C-26 just east of Virginia Avenue that claimed the life of a Goldfield motorist. Reportedly a westbound 1998 Chrysler Cirrus LXI driven by 35 year old Wade M. Jones of Goldfield left the roadway and entered the north ditch. The vehicle then vaulted an embankment and rolled ejecting the driver. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene by the Humboldt County Medical Examiner. The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol, the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department and Renwick Fire and EMS.
