Forrest Wade Fromm, the son of Otto and Florence Janes Fromm, was born on a farm near Eldora in Hardin County, Iowa, on April 7,1908. He attended school in Hardin County and then the Humboldt High School and later attended Coe College at Cedar Rapids. He was united in marriage with Madeline Prehm on Jan. 14, 1932 at Blue Earth, Minn. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove and for several years he was employed by the Northwestern Bell Telephone. Later, he was in several different businesses on Main Street in Eagle Grove. For the past 4 years he was the Taxi driver for the city of Eagle Grove.

He died at his home in Eagle Grove on Sunday night, Jan. 27, 1985, after suffering a heart attack. He attained the age of 76 years, 9 months and 20 days. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Fromm of Eagle Grove; his daughter, Carole and her husband, Richard Griffin of Lee's Summitt, Mo.; a son, Darrell and his wife Mary Ann Fromm of Bettendorf; seven grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Forrest W. Fromm, 76, of Eagle Grove were held on Wed., Jan. 30,1985 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Eagle Grove. Rev. Kenneth R. Reiter, church pastor, officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held on Tuesday at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
