Blanche Marian Fort was born in Linn county, Iowa, on September 9, 1875 and died at her home in Eagle Grove on March 4, 1928. The deceased was the daughter of John S. and Elizabeth Fort. She came with her parents to Eagle Grove in 1882. She attended the Eagle Grove public schools and graduated from the high school in the class of 1892. After graduating from the State Teachers college at Cedar Falls, she taught in the Eagle Grove schools for six years.

On July l, 1896, she was united in marriage to Dr. William C. McGrath of Eagle Grove. There was born to them a son, Robert Fort McGrath. Dr. McGrath died April 5, 1917. She was married to Henry G. Felger on November 26, 1920.

She was a faithful member of the First Congregational Church of Eagle Grove and was also a member of the Eastern Star and the P.E.O. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, her son, her parents, and a large circle of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Congregational church at two o’clock, Wednesday afternoon. Rev. F. D. Reeves officiating. Burial in Rose Hill cemetery.
