Cathareine Sarah Canfield was the daughter of Henry and Lorraine Canfield and was born February 5, 1918 in Webster City. She was educated in Webster City. She married Roger Noble Johnson July 24, 1936 at Webster City. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Russellville, Ark.

Cathareine S. "Dolly" Johnson, Emporia, Kan., 73, died August 3, 1991, at Meadow View Care Center. She had been in ill health for the past three years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Roger, Fort Dodge; and Noble, Iola, Kan.; six daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Pearl) Jensen, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Gary (Judy) Blair, and Mrs. Jerry, (Ramona) Devon, both of Ames; Karen Espe of Emporia, Kan.; Sharon Griggs, El Dorado, Kan.; and Mrs. Duane (Mary) Van Buskirk, Matfield Green, Kan.; one brother, Harry Canfield, Dayton; a sister, Ida Riley,. Russellville, Ark.; 34 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 7 at the Matfield Green Community Church with burial in Matfield Green Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Children's Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
