Edwin LeRoy Berg, the son of Edwin and Edith Helgevold Berg, was born at Eagle Grove, Iowa on March 27, 1938. He grew up in Eagle Grove and attended school in Eagle Grove and later graduated from the Santa Barbara, Calif. High School. He was united in marriage with Darlene Carr on Jan. 4, 1959 at Santa Barbara, Calif. He was employed in California in the building materials business and was in the electrical division of a large company. He had been in ill health for the past year and had been living in Eagle Grove. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.

He died at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City on Sat., Jan. 12, 1985 at the age of 46 years, 9 months and 15 days.

He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia, Mrs. Michael Thielen of Eagle Grove; his mother, Edith Berg of Eagle Grove; a brother, Eugene Berg of Eagle Grove; a sister, Marjorie, Mrs. Edward Krosofsky of Santa. Barbara, Calif., and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin and a brother, Norman Berg.

Funeral services for Edwin L. Berg, age 46 of Eagle Grove, were held on Tues., Jan. 15, 1985, at 2 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Schaedig, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
