Marion C. Yarnell, son of Walter Clyde and Viola McPherson Yarnell, died July 3 in Roswell, N.M. Survivors include a brother, Glenn of Goldfield; one niece, Jeanette (Yarnell) Lowe; and an uncle, John McPherson of Dows Care Center, Dows. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July,11, at the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home. Dr. George W. Den Hartog officiated and burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Marion Yarnell was born October 24, 1909 at Loogootee, Ind. and moved with his parents to Eagle Grove at an early age. He received his education from Roswell, N.M., Goldfield, and graduated from Eagle Grove with the class of 1928. Later he moved to Roswell, N.M., joined the Army, and was stationed at Marfa, Texas. He served at Los Alamos, N.M., the air base in Carlsbad, N.M. and Walker Air Force Base in Roswell. He retired after 31 years of Civil Service and made his home in Roswell, N.M. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, 32nd Degree.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Florine Yarnell.
