Jerry Frazier, 68, of Webster City, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Asbury United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Flagg officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lovilia. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Jerry Vern Frazier was born February 28, 1948 in Melrose, IA, the son of Arthur and Rose Zapuder Frazier. Jerry grew up in Melrose, graduating from Albia High School in 1966. He attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. He entered the U.S. Army in 1968 and served as an Infantry Sargent in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam with the 4th Battalion, 39th Infantry of the 9th Infantry Division Charlie Company.

Jerry married Jane Read [of Eagle Grove, Iowa] on May 24, 1986. They have two children, Justin and Angie and made their home in Webster City. Jerry was a salesman for RJ Reynolds and Pfizer. He was an insurance adjustor for IMT Insurance and later became an independent insurance agent including AFLAC.

He loved to hunt and fish, was a Dallas Cowboys fan, a member of the American Legion Post 191, the VFW, the Band of Brothers, a past member of the Moose Family Center, CSP, Pheasants Forever and the NRA.

He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jerry never met a stranger and his quick wit and friendship will be remembered by many.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; son, Justin Frazier and wife Jonalyn of Henderson, NV; daughter Angie Hunt and husband Rick of Ashland City, TN; grandchildren, Drayke Gorman, Baylee Jensen and Aiden Frazier; great-granddaughter, Mia Gorman; sister, Jeanie Teno of Humeston; brother-in-law, Denny Read of Eagle Grove and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Rose Frazier and a brother, Lacy.
