February 1858 – February 1901

The funeral of Willis A. Rucker occurred Tuesday from the home of his sister, Mrs. Lloyd Nichols. Mr. Rucker was at one time a resident of Eagle Grove, but for some time previous to his demise, had been living in [Faulkton] South Dakota, where be died of heart failure. The deceased was forty three years old, and besides Mrs. Nichols, leaves a wife, a father, two sisters and a brother. Mrs. Rucker, as well as the father, sisters and brother, will have the deep sympathy of friends in the loss of a loving husband and helpmate. They had been married but about six mouths and were just getting nicely settled on two claims in Dakota, when death came into the happy home.
