March 23, 1877 ---- December 21, 1947

Edwin L. Morse, 69, for 40 years a Chicago Great Western railroad man died Sunday at his home in Council Bluffs. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Wilson Chapel in charge of Rev. Walter Ross. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery [Eagle Grove, Iowa].

Obituary

Edwin L. Morse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morse was born at Sabula, Iowa, March 23, 1877, and passed away December 21st at his home in Council Bluffs where he has resided for the past 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Morse and four children, three sons and one daughter. They are Robert W., Leila, May, Harold, and LeRoy, all of Council Bluffs. One grandchild, one sister, Mrs. Fannie Jacobs, of Los Angeles, Cal. Mr. Morse was employed by the C&GW railroad for about 40 years, running through Eagle Grove most of that time. Mr. Morse was a member of railway orders and the Masonic Lodge at Council Bluffs.
