Raynard LeRoy Jones, the son of Walter and Ada (Knight) Jones, was born September 10, 1925, in Liberty Township, Wright County, Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth, graduating from Goldfield High School in 1943. Raynard served in the United States Army during W.W.II.

On September 17, 1947, Raynard was united in marriage to Rogene Wampler, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple lived in Holmes for a short time before moving to their farm southwest of Goldfield, where they farmed until retiring in 1990 and moved to Eagle Grove. Raynard also worked for the ASCS and served on the Goldfield Elevator Board of Directors. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Raynard passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove, at the age of 90 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Rogene in 2011; brothers: Norman, Sylvus and Francis; infant sister, Kathryn and daughter-in-law, Jacqueline (Mau) Jones. Raynard is survived by his son, Steven Jones of Montgomery, IL; daughters, Christy Jaminet and husband Randy of Sherrard, IL and LoAnn Haverly and husband Larry of Renwick; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren and sister, Letha Martin of Milo.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield with Chaplain Mark Peterson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
