SUDDEN DEATH TAKES CADY TEMPLETON

A heart attack proved fatal at his home early Saturday morning to Cady A. Templeton, 70, a resident of Clarion for almost 50 years. Funeral services were held at the Eyler Funeral home Monday at 2:30. The Rev. Ralph J. Beebe of the First Congregational church officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Linebarger, Henry Aldrich, Dan Collins, John Griffin, Edgar Sims and Fred Graves. Mr. Templeton came to Clarion at the age of 21 and engaged in the blacksmith trade. In 1898 he was united in marriage with Maggie Rowen. They have made their home in Clarion since that time. Mr. Templeton has acted as city marshal and machinist's helper at the Chicago Great Western roundhouse in Clarion. He was also a member of the fire department. He is survived by his wife, two brothers, Bert of Union and Roy of Burlington and two sisters, Mrs. Leslie Arthur of Marshalltown and Miss Grace Templeton of Eldora.
