Kenneth Davy Moenck, son of W. H. and Ann (Mandsager) Moenck was born in Vincent IA, January 11, 1936. He was baptized March 24, 1936 and confirmed on October 30, 1949 at South Enes Lutheran Church at Vincent. He was a graduate of Ft. Dodge IA High School in 1954 and St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN in 1958 with BA degree in Communications and History. It was in college that he realized that God was calling him to serve in the ministry of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He entered Luther Seminary in St. Paul MN and graduated with a Master in Divinity in 1962. Ken later received accreditation in counseling and license in Social Work serving as Social Work supervisor for Wadena County Human Services in Wadena County, MN until retirement in 2001.

He and Donna Williams of Detroit Lakes, MN were married on October 15, 1960 during Ken's internship year at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Stillwater, MN and they were blessed with 4 children, Debora, Kaj, Robert and Sue.
Ken served ELCA parishes at Hope and Bethesda in Northome and Mizpah, MN; Shepherd of the Hills in Swift Falls, MN; Our Savior's Lutheran in Chokio, MN; and Elmo Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie, MN; where he served for 30 years, retiring in 2006. They made their home in Henning, MN for 40 years. Then they moved to Alexandria, MN in 2014 to facilitate Ken's advancing Parkinson's disease with dementia. He was a resident of Edgewood Vista Assisted Living/Memory Care facility receiving care from a wonderful staff since April 2015.

Preceding him in death were his parents Walter and Ann Moenck; brother, Vernelle; and grandchild, Rashaun, grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Surviving Ken are his wife Donna, children: Debora (Joel) of St. Paul, MN; Kaj (Jan) Moenck of St. Louis Park, MN; Robert Moenck of Minneapolis, MN; Sue Troutman of Hopkins, MN; grandchildren: Caitlin, Kyle, Katie, Larelle, Shamika, Sharkira, Bobby Jr, Breana, Elsie, and Renee; aunt Evelyn Mandsager of Emmetsburg, IA and niece Roxi (Andre) Augustine of Manteca, CA; many other relatives and a host of friends.
