May 15, 1860 ---- May 23, 1929

Anna Knutson was born in Stavanger, Norway, Europe, May 15, 1860 and died in her home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, May 23, 1929, age 69 years and eight days. She came to the U.S. to Spencer, Iowa in 1881, where she made her home with an uncle. She was united in marriage to John Skeie of Badger, Iowa. One child was born to this union, George of Hardy, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Skeie lived on a farm near Badger where Mr. Skeie passed away from this life in 1893. In 1895 Mrs. Skeie was united in marriage to Edward Jacobson. Four children were born to this union, two died in infancy, and two boys, Fred and Edwin remain. Mr. Jacobson passed away from this life here in Eagle Grove in 1923.

Mrs. Jacobson's health has gradually failed her during the last few years. She sought help with medical specialists, but they could give her no permanent aid. It was clear to her for some time that she must pass away from this life.

She is now survived by her three sons, already mentioned, also Mrs. Tena Olson of Kelly, Iowa, who was given a home by Mrs. Jacobson for many years. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three sisters, one living in Clinton and two in Norway. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon from the home. Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
