Edward C. Jacobson died suddenly at his home on North Wright street last Wednesday evening at 10:00 o'clock. He had been in his usual good health Wednesday, working his customary shift at the round house. He was 64 years of age and was looking forward confidently to working until the time when he would be honorably retired by the company.

Edward C. Jacobson was born in Denmark Jan. 22, 1859. He came to the United States with his parents when 10 years old. He lived in Clinton, Iowa, till he was 22 years old, when he came to Eagle Grove. His first wife died in 1892. ... [unreadable]... In 1895 he was married to Miss Anna Sheur [Skeie] . To this union five children were born. Two died in infancy and the three, Fred, Edward, and George remain and with their mother mourn the loss of a kind and devoted father and husband. Mr. E. Jacobson had been for many years in the employment of the Chicago Northwestern railroad. He died the 18th of January, 1923. Funeral services were held from the home on North Wright street Saturday, Jan. 20, 1923.
