The hot weather for the past month has been very hard on the babies in our city, and nearly everyone is more or less sick. A number have succumbed after a hard struggle, and last week three or four were laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery.

The infant son of William Muir was also numbered among the little unfortunates. It died yesterday after an illness of several weeks, aged four months.
