A CHILD DROWNED
The sad news Monday that the little child of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bodine, of Dayton township, was drowned, brought consternation and sorrow to the neighbors and friends of the family. The mother missed him and after hunting about the place she went to the nearest neighbor continuing her search. Mr. and Mrs. Hard joined in the search, and after an hour from the time the little one was first missed he was found in an outside cave or cellar containing water, and the frail life was extinct. Little Earl was about two years of age and a bright, winsome child who won the hearts of everyone about him. The sad accident called forth the energies of sympathizing friends, who lent their aid in all possible ways. The funeral services were conducted at the Congregational church today by Rev. G. L. Shull, and the remains placed in Rose Hill cemetery.
