March 10, 1930 --- April 13, 2016

Signora L. Stolhammer, 86, of Hibbing, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Guardian Angels Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing. She was born March 10, 1930, in Clarion, Iowa, to Ole S. and Anna (Huus) Olson. Signora was a graduate of Hillcrest Academy in Fergus Falls, Minn., and also Deaconess School of Nursing. She was united in marriage on September 18, 1954, in Clarion, Iowa, to Kenneth W. Stolhammer. Signora was a longtime Hibbing resident. She was a member of Chisholm Baptist Church and active in women’s ministries. Signora worked as an OB nurse. She was gifted with the hospitality of an open home for everyone and was a foster mom to many children. She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed crafts and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children: Keith, Becky (Eldon) Porter, Karen (Jim) Faust, Kevin (Leone), Kraig (Siri) and Rachel (John) Ohman; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three brothers; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, at Chisholm Baptist Church. The Rev. Dan Erickson will officiate.Arrangements are with Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Chisholm.
