Former Palmer Woman Called by Death
Word was received here that Mrs. Wilbur Tallman (nee Lottie Starrett) had passed away on Wednesday of last week at her home in Clarion, Iowa. The deceased lived with her parents, [Mr. and Mrs. S. E.] Starrett, in this town for many years.

Clarion Woman, 45 Years Old, Dies at Home Here — Tragedy Was Caused by Heart TroubleThe sudden death of Mrs. Wilbur Tallman on April 1 was a complete surprise to both relatives and friends. She had suffered spells of heart trouble a few days previous. On the morning of her death she complained of not feeling well and asked her husband for a drink of warm water. After procuring It he returned to the kitchen and the next instant he heard Mrs. Tallman fall from her chair to the floor, and upon hurrying to her found that she was dead.
Charlotte Ileen Starrett was born at Clarks, Neb., about 45 years ago. On September 4, 1909, she was united in marriage with Wilbur H. Tallman of Clarion, the ceremony taking place at Del Norte, Colo. They removed to Clarion the same year, which place has since been their home. In addition to the husband, her father, three sisters and two brothers survive. Mrs. Tallman was a nurse by profession and well liked by her neighbors and friends. She was a member of St. John's church and guild, also of the American Legion auxiliary. Funeral services were held at St. John's church on April 3, being in charge of Father Torpey. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery. Two sisters and their husbands were in attendance at the services: Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Mooney of Lincoln, and Mr. and Mrs. Don McGonigal of Aurora, Neb.
