ED QUEARY, 75, PASSED AWAY IN MONTANA FEB.18

RENWICK, IA — Ed. Queary, 75, passed away Thursday, February 18 in a town in Montana while on his way to his old home in Renwick. Funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church at Renwick Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. E. F. Thompson officiating. Burial was in Vernon cemetery where his wife and two sons are buried. Mr. Queary moved to Anchorage, Alaska, with his daughter and husband Mr. and Mrs. Walter Craig five years ago. About six weeks ago, he was taken to Seattle, Wash., where he underwent an operation. He was convalescing from the operation and wished to return to Renwick where he had lived before moving to Alaska. They left on the train for Iowa, but Mr. Queary became ill before they had gone far and was taken from the train in Montana where he passed away. Mr. and Mrs. Craig arrived in Renwick Monday with the remains and services were conducted Tuesday. Mr. Queary is survived by one sister, Mrs. Will Anderson, and many relatives in and near Renwick, besides his daughter Mrs. Craig.
