Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Jost of Klemme, IA., were held at the Lutheran church in Lidderdale Thursday afternoon. Rev. H.R. Wrede of Garner officiated at the rites and Rev. R. Herrmann conducted the service at the graveside in the Lutheran cemetery at Lidderdale. Pallbearers were B. E. Albers, H. Boje, A. Fricke, O. Wenck, George Borcherding and D. Wenck.

Cousins from Carroll who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wenck, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Heuton, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Rohrbeck, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Onken and Mrs. W. S. Bayley. Carroll friends attending were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kroeger, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Platt, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Emmick, Mrs. Albert Lauer, Mrs. Anna Subbert and Mr. and Mrs. J. O'Herron.

Mrs. Jost was born Jessie Best on July 31, 1882, in Carroll county. She grew to womanhood in the same vicinity. On June 27, 1923, she married Henry Jost. They lived at Lidderdale for the first three years and had resided at Klemme since March, 1926. Mrs. Jost was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church. Baptized in infancy, she renewed her baptismal covenant on March 26, 1896, the day of her confirmation. After a lingering illness, Mrs. Jost passed away about 7 o'clock Tuesday evening, May 4.

She leaves to mourn her husband, her aged mother, Mrs. Dena Best, a son, Harold, two brothers Frank Best of Pomeroy and Herman Best of Garner, a sister, Mrs. Emery Block of Manson, and uncles, aunts, other relatives and many friends.
