January 30, 1870 --- December 15, 1951

Mary Moser, daughter of Jacob and Catharine Streid was born at Chenoa, McLean County, Illinois on January 30, 1870 and passed away at her home on December 15, 1951 having reached the age of 81 years 10 months and. 15 days. Her early life was spent in Illinois, and as a young woman was baptized and united with the Meadows Mennonite Church. On February 7, 1893 at Chenoa, Illinois she was united in marriage to Joseph Moser and to this union four children were born. They made their home on the farm until 1907 when with her husband moved to a farm near Vincent, Iowa. At this time she joined the Vincent Methodist church where she was a member until they retired from the farm and moved to Eagle Grove. In the year of 1922 her membership was transferred to the Eagle Grove Methodist church where she has been one of its most faithful members. She was a member of Class 16 of the Methodist church, and Kings Daughters and also the W.C.T.U.

Mrs. Moser was a lovable lady, with a willing smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and all the scores of friends who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Joseph, one grandchild, Richard John; four sisters and two brothers. She leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Richard of Fort Dodge, and Carl of Eagle Grove, two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Williams and Mrs. Harold Newbrough of Eagle Grove; two brothers, Jesse Streid of Meadows, Illinois and Arthur Streid of Gridley, Illinois; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, Other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 17, 1951 at the Methodist church, Eagle Grove, Iowa with Rev. Harrison G. Dawes officiating. Interment was held on the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa.
