Caroline Johanna Busch was born to George and Elizabeth Busch, at Rockville, Grant county, Wis., Aug 28, 1865, and passed away at her home on West Broadway, Eagle Grove, Aug. 30, 1938, her age being 73 years and 2 days. She attended the Grant county public schools and for some time followed the dressmaker's trade, and remained in or near her home until she married. During her early womanhood she was affiliated with the Presbyterian church at Lancaster, Wis.

On Nov. 2, 1904, she married August Kluckhohn and they came immediately to their home on the farm southwest of Eagle Grove, where they remained until they retired to Eagle Grove some ten years ago. During their years on the farm she was united, and was very faithful worker in the Methodist church at Vincent, but on moving to Eagle Grove she transferred her membership to the local Methodist church where she remained a loyal member until her death.

Mrs. Kluckhohn was a woman ever loyal to the finer things of life, a true homemaker, a good mother, splendid neighbor and faithful to every trust, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by one-daughter, Elizabeth, of Bloomfield, Iowa, and one brother, G. E. Busch of Granville, No. Dak., a number of nieces and nephews and many friends, Mr. Kluckhohn, preceding her in death less than two years ago.

Services were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church and were in charge of the Rev. W. L. Breaw of Sheldon and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
